Rachna Murthy is a consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic surgeon. She specialises in cosmetic injectables, laser resurfacing and lesion removal here at the clinic.
Miss Murthy qualified as a Doctor in 1996 from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London and has Fellowship training in eyelid plastic and cosmetic eyelid surgery from The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne, Australia, 2005-2006, Moorfield’s Eye Hospital, London, 2006-2007, and The Craniofacial Unit at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London, 2007-2008.
Her specialist interests are in the medical and surgical treatment of thyroid eye disease, ocular surface disease, watery eye and eyelid mal-position, as well as managing skin cancer around the eye, and reconstruction following tumour removal. She is the lead of the multidisciplinary team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, managing complex thyroid eye disease patients from all over East Anglia and she also has a particular interest in the education of trainee ophthalmologists and is a Royal College of Ophthalmology Tutor.
Miss Murthy also has a keen interest in nonsurgical cosmetic procedures such as injectables and laser resurfacing and carries out her treatments on patients every Friday.
